Behind the Scenes

  • This piece was written especially for 8-0-8 Productions first collaborative show, nigh. Six scenes by six different writers were selected, each depicting an encounter between the recently deceased and a Gatekeeper standing guard over the other side.
  • This was my first production outside of school, so I eagerly made the trip from Toronto to Calgary to see it performed (even though it was only ten minutes long). Members of the company graciously put me up, and the experience started a long trend of spending more money to travel to see my plays then I was making in royalties.
